NEST…

Estranged in the middle of nowhere

Breathing became  impossible for her.

Her wings felt heavy,

Her heart raced in her chest

Heaving, panting she  lay shuddering

Feeling that excruciating  pain deep within.

Where, she  felt not …

How, she  knew not…

When, she could recall not…

But the pain lingered all through the day.

She had reasons to be happy….

She had reasons to smile…

But the dark cloud of uncertainty

That hovered  around her,

Walled her  away from those reason.

Those minor cuts and scratches

She was Been bestowed upon everyday

With sharp edged word

Had now turned into deep wounds.

They bled all day long

They filled the air with repulsive smell.

It was her  nest, where she felt dead,

“NEST”, the place we feel safe and free.

But hers suffocated her

It was where she felt lifeless.

Her only solace

Was the getaway she created for herself

It let her inhale,

It soothed her pain,

It normalised her heart pace.
